It features complimentary beverages (soda, wine, beer) and munchies and runs from 7:00 to 7:45 at Unity Temple. The public is admitted to the concert @ 7:45 and after. (We'll have one of these for each concert thru the full season).

World Class Music Up Close

The Missouri Valley Folklife Society, a volunteer-based, non-profit concert organization fosters the appreciation of music based in or influenced by Celtic & western European folk idioms. Our organization provides opportunities for local, regional and international folk musicians to perform for, educate and interact with audiences in affordable family-friendly environments.

Recent concert seasons included Battlefield Band, Flook, Kevin Burke with Johnnie Connelly and Ged Foley, The Black Brothers, Brewer & Shipley, and the annual Metro Artists Concert with Eddie Delahunt and Tullamore. While many concerts feature Irish and Scottish roots music, bluegrass, classic folk, and other acoustic traditional music is presented. The MVFS mailing address is PO Box 5916, Kansas City, MO 64171.
